Paul,

Hello, Bill Swanson Grand Rapids ,mi.. Once again your Son Scott took great care of me. This has been one very odd year. We couldn’t do our Normal July 4th. Show. We hadn’t had rain for about 3 weeks and was Very dry and high fire warnings. So we did it Labor day weekend. Needless To say as of Tuesday it hadn’t rain for weeks and was very dry. Thank god We got a nice soaking rain on Wednesday and Thursday. Then Saturday Morning we got a soaking rain until about 11:30. Then it got nice and sunny For the rest of the day .Any how as always your company always takes such Great care of me. Scott has everything ready to go with only one day notice. Everyone felt this was by far the best show yet. Every year it gets better and Better. And believe me it’s all to do with the service we receive from Shelton’s Fireworks and Scott. Scott is all about customer service, he makes sure you have Everything you will need and is a pleasure to work with someone who cares About the product he sells. Just wanted to drop you folks a note, We have been enjoying your fireworks since 2013…This year was a BIG year for us …we spent right at $1000.00 at your Rock Port store this year, as we had most of the family back home. We also had 2 very special service people that joined us this year and had NEVER seen a home display, or even lighted a firework ! EVERY SINGLE item we bought from you folks went off !! our visitors were SUPER impressed by our show…the young lady asked where we bought our stuff…..all my kids said in unison…”sheltons in RockPort” …my youngest son then went into his story of NEVER buy from a tent, that humidity really messes with the powder and glues in a firework…bla bla bla…anyway …just wanted to tell ya….from a seven year RETURN CUSTOMER FAMILY THANK YOU for your GREAT fireworks, that ALWAYS perform !!!!

Tuesday, August 8, 2017 (Eagleville, Missouri)Background–Aaron had a finale that did not meet his expectations failing to complete its firing cycle. He sent a photo of the item and his sales slip and was very pleased with the way that Shelton Fireworks at Eagleville handled the situation for him. “Dear Paul You guys rock. I was definitely not expecting a check. I figured I would get a voucher for next year so i was really surprised when i opened the envelope and saw it was a check.” Aaron Miller from Iowa

Monday, August 7, 2017 (Richmond, Indiana)Background on this sale: Doug did a lot of advanced planning to get his show all lined up. he sent pictures of the items that he bought at our Shelton fireworks warehouse at Richmond, Indiana on aug 4, 2017 and was very happy with the results. he plans on doing a lot of wiring to enhance the firing order for his show. when i asked him how his shopping trip came out, Doug had this to say—“Mon 8/7/17 Doug Hemmelgran from ohio Hey Paul, It went great!! We got pretty much all of the stuff we wanted to besides 2 of several 500 grams.” Doug got duplicates of several finales he chose and a number of the 200 gram cakes. his show will be one that his family remembers for a long time.

Monday, July 17, 2017 (Grand Rapids)Paul, Just a quick note to say THANK YOU. As you would expect Scott took great care of me.It’s nice to deal with a company that actually knows what the words customer service means By no means am I a fireworks guru, So it’s nice to know that the price is good, the product is quality and that the show will come off as you hope it will, I spend the $$$ for one reason. to bring a smile to young and old. When you get excited comments weeks later then I know it’s worth every penny. Paul the older I get the more I appreciate dealing with people who care, There are a million companies out there that don’t have a clue. So it’s nice to deal with one that does. See you in 2018 thanks to you and Scott–bill Swanson, grand rapids Reply: Mon 7/17, 9:20 PM William—thanks a bunch for the good words. Scott works hard at Fremont to bring the very best to his customers. we would like to print your comments in our guestbook Response back: Tue 7/18, 8:31 AM yes go ahead, It didn’t take me a year to respond like last, Thanks Paul

Tuesday, July 4, 2017 you guys got awesome fireworks. i still love them. keep it going i am always safe when i light them off. Thomas.  Reply: I might mention that son, Greg Shelton, founded his fireworks company and its 14 warehouses 43 years ago. he has made sure that he sold only safe fireworks. a lot of testing goes into being sure about the item before its made available to the end user. tallpaul

Friday, June 30, 2017 (Richmond, Indiana)Tall Paul, My family and I are very excited about making the drive over to Richmond, Indiana for our yearly purchase of fireworks. Honestly, I get more excited about the 4th of July than I do about Christmas. Last year we bought a bunch of fireworks and enjoyed every single one of them. I usually keep some aside to scare off pests around the farm throughout the year. I have a feeling that this 4th of July is going to be great. My family and I would like to wish you a happy 4th of July. have a nice day. Nate Richmond Reply: Our Richmond warehouse manager, wes snedigar thrives on bringing such customer service as expressed by Nate above. tallpaul

Tuesday, May 23, 2017 (Grand Rapids)This is just a little late ( a year/was busy and forgot) but sure go ahead and use my story. It’s getting that time of year and I started to look at the online stuff. It’s nice to have a list from last year and the ones we weren’t happy with crossed off. I’ll be getting more 500 gram units this year, We lit about 15 grand finales at once, WHAT A SHOW-EVERYONE LOVED IT. Paul hope you have a great season and you’ll be hearing from me in a little more than a month. thanks –bill swansonbackground:bill from the grand rapids area sent e-mail with copies of our online catalog showing just what he wanted and he arranged pickup at our giant Fremont, Indiana warehouse where son, Scott, had picked up the items that bill wanted and was there when bill arrived to pickup.

Monday, June 27, 2016 (Porter, Indiana)I just wanted to thank you for being the best fireworks retailer I’ve ever been to. I’ve lived in numerous states around the Midwest, and I have yet to see a better warehouse than what you offer consumers. Again, sir, you are very much appreciated in the Chicagoland area, and I will continue visiting until one of us leaves this world behind. Respectfully, Ryan

Thursday, July 14, 2016 (Porter, Indiana)I ended up with the two Mr. Bigs and a Freak Show as per your recommendation. We also decided on a massive pack of various Roman candles. I’m saving your email for next year where I hope the budget will be even higher than this year. Mr Big continued to be a crowd pleaser. We also ended up with a ” The Big One” finale. I think despite being smaller in duration my family preferred that finale to Freak Show. I checked out some of the other recommendations and will have them tucked away for next year. Thanks for all the help! — Andrew

Saturday, June 25, 2016 (Fremont, Indiana)We just left your business, and we are extremely impressed with your selection and the employees!! They were very helpful and friendly! Thank you. We will be back next year! — Kelly in Battle Creek, Michigan

Monday, June 20, 2016 (Cusseta, Alabama) Well, I made another trip to Shelton Fireworks on 6-18-16. The same holds true – great place to shop for fireworks. They have even more fireworks than the last time I was there – it is wall-to-wall man. Customer service is THE BEST. Seth is a very helpful manager. I sure hope you make no changes to this business. Awesome store; bypass all others and go see Seth at Shelton Fireworks where you will find the best deals for you money. Thanks for being there for me Seth. — Bill from Thomaston, GA

Tuesday, January 5, 2016 (Cusseta, Alabama) Shelton still is the best place to shop for your fireworks. Went there two times for 2015 to buy fireworks to bring in the 2016 new year. Seth is still the best man around to do business with. They have everyone beat on selection and price. If you need to know what the fireworks are, just ask Seth or any of the staff. It’s worth the drive!!! Thanks, Bill from Thomaston GA

Tuesday, August 4, 2015 (Cusseta, Alabama)Good morning, I wrote a while back about Shelton Fireworks having the very best prices anywhere. Today, I would like to say, Seth at the Cusseta location is a very wonderful man to do business with. I’ve had the pleasure to do business with him several times in the last month, and he knows how to take care of his customers and the same goes for his staff. I look forward to going back just for that and the prices. Mr. Shelton, you have a great manager. To everyone who buys fireworks, why you would go anywhere else I don’t know. — Thank you, Bill

Sunday, July 5, 2015 (Richmond, Indiana)TallPaul and to the Richmond Crew: Hey Paul, I recently visited your Richmond, Indiana, store on July 3rd, 2015. I’ve been into the warehouse before but very limited funds had only allowed me to pick up a very scarce amount of products from your store. This year, that wasn’t the case. When I walked in, I was greeted by staff members (awesome staff by the way, and for how crowded the store was, they did a good job with customer service)! Some of my pick ups included the Tsunami 5″ mortar kit, Super Yo Ho Ho, Flipping Awesome, a tube rack, a variation of small cakes, 3 300 Saturn missile bases, a few rockets and bottle rockets, and, of course, sparklers for the kids. All I can say is I am truly blown away by the quality of these fireworks – not one dud! I drove from Columbus, Ohio, passing a Prism fireworks, Hamburg Fireworks, and the most popular, Phantom… And, I will pass those every year to come back to your store! Oh, and did I mention the $74 I got in FREE fireworks? That allowed me to get DA BIG THUMPER and the Mississippi Gambler 5″ (12) mortar kit! I am one satisfied customer and everyone loved the show and asked where we got them from. I told them to go see the crew in Richmond, Indiana! — John

Saturday, July 4, 2015 (Cusseta, Alabama)Shelton’s has the best price on all fireworks. Don’t waste your time going anywhere else. I went to three other stores in Alabama the other day – one on 431 and 280. You can get two for one of their’s. GO TO SHELTONS ONLY (Cusseta, AL warehouse). — Thank you, Bill

Saturday, July 4, 2015 (Covington, Indiana)Great store, great selection, great freebies and great service. But please… get more carts and baskets. — Sarah

Friday, June 26, 2015 (Eagleville, Missouri)I was in your Eagleville Missouri store today, and I just wanted to tell you that we had an amazing time. The staff was enthusiastic and very helpful. Your manager at the store was great help and hooked us up with a great deal. This is our fourth year, and we look forward to many more. — Thank you, Bailey

Thursday, June 25, 2015 (Cusseta, Alabama, location)Hey Paul, I just posted this review on Yelp! and thought I would share it with you. We spend between $1000-$1500 a year and just finished up our annual trip there today. Seth is one of the nicest guys I have ever met, and I feel like he and the other employees always takes good care of us. We have never left with buyers remorse or thinking we didn’t get out money’s worth. We live in Griffin, GA (you have a billboard about 3 miles from my house) and have been coming for 10 years. With Georgia legalizing fireworks, do you have any plans to open up a store here? We love your store and are crazy about fireworks!!! [06/25/15: BLAKE. MY NAME IS GREG SHELTON. I AM THE OWNER OF SHELTON FIREWORKS. I APPRECIATE YOUR KIND WORDS ABOUT OUR STORE. I AM NOT SURE WHEN OR IF WE WILL BUILD IN GEORGIA AT THIS TIME. I THINK WE ARE WAITING TO SEE HOW THINGS TURN OUT WITH THE FIREWORKS LAWS IN GEORGIA IN THE FUTURE! THERE MAY BE SOME CHANGES IN THE NEAR FUTURE. WE WILL WAIT AND SEE! HAVE FUN AND THANK YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR BUSINESS! GREG]  Here’s the review: This place is AWESOME!!! We have been coming here for ten years and have NEVER been disappointed with the products or the prices. We drive an hour and a half and past several other fireworks stores along the way just to get to Shelton. Seth and his employees are very knowledgeable and honest about everything they sell. Every year, they shoot thousands of dollars worth of product at the store so their employees can see for themselves what they look like. This level of product knowledge has allowed us to put on phenomenal fireworks shows on the 4th of July for years. It’s not uncommon for people to tell us that our shows are better than the ones their home town puts on. Shelton’s pricing is also very reasonable, and their discount structure is very generous. The more you spend the more you get for FREE!!! Shelton also has a pretty good YouTube channel that shows a lot of what they sell. It could be updated a little bit, but it’s not bad. Contrary to how this review sounds, I do not work for Shelton. I am just a very pleased customer that just finished my annual trip there for the 10th year. Thanks again Seth and company. See you next year! — Blake

Tuesday, July 15, 2014 (Rockport Warehouse)Greetings from the Omaha/Council Bluffs area! Just wanted to tell ya about my second year shopping at your Rockport store. Last year was an “economy” year for us, and I bought only about 200 dollars in small cakes from this store… we were very happy with it… as promised. THIS year, we bought about 850. We bought some bigger stuff and some of the smaller cakes that we enjoyed. We went to the store at about 5 pm on Sunday, June 29th. The place was ROCKIN’! – by far the busiest and the most cars in the parking lot in the Rockport sales area. We went to Liberty to “spin the wheel” as my daughter always likes that gimmick. I waited in the car and watched the cars exiting I29. In my unofficial survey, fully 50 percent (8out of 16) cars, went directly to Shelton’s, 2 to Hales, 3 to Liberty, 1 to the Fireworks World, 1 to the Emporium, 1 to what used to be Poor Boys (I can’t see that far anymore, so don’t know if it is still called that). Anyway, we went to your store (this year my wife went with us – she had never seen it), and her first words were, “WOW! good Lord this place is HUGE!”, and off she went with my son “to shop”. I had my list, looking for all the stuff I wanted all printed out with pictures from your website, all priced out, knowing what I was gonna buy; ya, that lasted only about a 1/2 hour. While I was looking for a “super yo ho ho”, one of your employees (Jarrod) came up and asked me if he could help me. I showed him my list, and he told me that he was very sorry, but the things on my list that i had left to buy had sold out. DARN!! But, he steered me into some good comparable items (he said). Anyway, he took me around, showed me some of your new stuff, and I bought each one of his recommendations, so we will see how they are. He spent a good 45 min. with me, but he bounced to other customers also – a great salesman! – a great guy. I hope he is there next year! Well, I met up with my wife and son – they also had someone helping them (unfortunately I did not get his name) – but they too were loaded with some rebuys from last year and some new stuff. My daughter and her husband were helped by a young lady and got lots of smaller stuff for their contribution. Well, we are really excited to see this MUCH bigger purchase from you guys this year. I got an extra $240 to spend in “bonus” money at the check out, and my son got an extra $80, so we really have lots to blow off this year. I will send a review to your guestbook on the 5th of our stuff from you guys. Our 2nd year, and our first “normal” year of buying from you, can’t wait to see the results! Also, something I thought was cool was being able to “scan” on my kids’ phones how some of the cakes performed. They told me this was “old school”, but new to me!! Keep up the good work!! — Chris

Saturday, July 6, 2013As long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by fireworks. Not watching firework shows, but buying and setting off my own. I have family in western Michigan, and 4 times a year we would drive there from Chicago. Every time, we would pass your Burns Harbor store in Indiana. I would always beg my dad, and he always said no – until June 31, 2009. He finally pulled off, and we actually went in the store! At this time, I was probably 12 or 13, so I was trembling with excitement. We ended up buying around $250.00. While we drove into Michigan, I reached my arm in the back of the car and started snatching small things, like firecrackers, bottle rockets, and some novelties. I quickly crammed them in my suitcase. When we finally arrived at my cousin’s house, their jaws dropped at the sight of all our fireworks. While we were in Michigan, we would just go downstairs and hold them just waiting until the evening of the 4th. In the meantime, we would play Medal of Honor on the Gamecube, Airsoft, and go to the beach. On the morning of the 4th, the entire atmosphere seemed tense, anxious, excited. The later it got, the more tense we felt. Soon, dusk was upon us. We would hear distant pops and cracks as night drew nearer. We had the bags in the drive way. Then my dad said “Alright, shall we?” We started off with sparklers and pop-its, then slowly moved on to bottle rockets and other arial assortments. At around 11:00 PM, we called it a night and went to bed. We still had tons of fireworks left, and we would set some off every night until we left to go home. When we would arrive at our home in Illinois, my dad would put the half a bag full of fire works in the garage. Of course, being young, I would sneak more out of the bag and add them to my collection and set them off when my parents weren’t home, which was often, since they both worked. I cannot begin to describe the joy and ecstasy fireworks provided me with year after year. I was born for the 4th of July. I would look forward to this time all year. My very BEST memories were from June 31-July 7 of every year. Unfortunately, I moved to Plano, Texas, last summer, and this is the first year we have not gone to Michigan. I’ve been very depressed this week. I miss going, I miss seeing my family, I miss the pure joy of your fireworks. I’m 16 now, and I set off my last firework I had left in my stash 2 days ago. It’s part of growing up I guess, moving on from old things and comforts to new things and responsibilities. I want to thank you for being around, for doing what you’re doing. I’ll never forget Shelton Fireworks. — Good Memories (since June 31, 2009)

Friday, July 11, 2014Dear Paul, just wanted to thank you very much for your help. Becky sent me an email right away. I got a chance to talk to her today and just want to let you know that I thought she did an awesome job. Very professional, helpful, all around great to talk to. Would like to add that I think it’s great that you guys stand behind what you sell. I will defiantly continue to do business with you guys. Thank you so very much again for all your help. Keep up the good work. — Happy customer, Tony

Tuesday, July 1, 2014I go to your Porter IN store every year and the employees are the best! I walk in, look for help, and immediately have a personal shopper! This year, I had a newlywed couple that were just the best! Your fireworks are the best in the area and are always a huge success! Thank you for the work ethic you instill in your staff! — From Bel

Monday, June 23, 2014My wife, son, and I were in your West Harrison, Indiana, location last weekend, and I ended up suffering from a seizure while in your store. I just want to tell you that your [employee] staff there was amazing in helping my wife during and after my seizure. They quickly called 911 and helped relay messages from the emergency staff at 911, and they were also very helpful with flagging down the ambulance and showing the paramedics exactly where I was in your store. Big thumbs up to you for having such great employees and to your staff for their quick and responsive judgment. I can’t thank them enough. — Josh

uesday, June 17, 2014First, let me say that I have been fascinated with fireworks since I was a youngster. Love watching them, and participating in lighting them off. And I love them all, from the humble smoke bomb to the multi shot aerial finales – I just love fireworks. I moved to South Carolina about 17 years ago (at age 30), but didn’t really get back into firework purchasing until 3 years ago. While researching what and where I was going to purchase, I stumbled on Shelton’s website. I was intrigued. While I had never heard of any of the brands, I couldn’t pass up the prices on some of the items listed in your catalog. So I made the trek to Blacksburg from Greenville and bought the fireworks for my first 4th show in about 20 years. To put it bluntly, you guys and your fireworks rock. I have returned every year since and will continue to as long as I am able to be a little bit frivolous with my money around the 4th. One suggestion I would have would be to continue to add videos of the fireworks, particularly the multi shot cakes, being demoed. Thanks for listening. — Mike (Blacksburg and Fair Play SC)

Thursday, January 2, 2014We just left the store, and I am grinning from ear to ear to ear! Every year, we take two trips to IA and it’s a must that we make a pit stop at the Shelton’s off of I-35 at Eagleville in MO. I mean, how in the world can u not stop at the big red building labeled fireworks. My family is always in awe of the amount of quality products we share. They say it’s always a surprise on the fourth! We have started a family tradition I think. How awesome is that. So from our family to yours – We wish u many blessings and another great year. Merry Christmas & Happy New year. — Traci

Thursday, June 27, 2013Tall Paul – Recently visited the warehouse in Fremont, IN. I was treated with the best of hospitality by the staff. I live in Illinois but would go out of my way to visit your stores. It was refreshing to be treated in such a friendly manner. Please let your staff know they’re doing a great job! – Regards, Mike Aulert

Friday, July 5, 2013Well I don’t really know if this will be read, but here goes… I have never shopped in Sheltons before. I have been buying from Hales since they bought out Mike’s in Rockport. I had bought from Mike’s since the mid seventies!! Anyway, this year, we had to scale back our spending TREMENDOUSLY, and I put my oldest daughter in charge of finding the “best buys” for us. She found coupons online for dollars off 500 gram cakes and a gross of bottle rockets for free when we spent 10 bucks. I researched your online catalog and decided that THIS year we would limit our “cake” price to no more than 15 bucks. This was very hard for us to do – this is a hell of a scale back – we usually spend about $1100 or so on fireworks. Well, we did our annual trek to Missouri and went to Liberty Fireworks and spun the wheel – there were 3 of us – my son, my son-in-law and myself. After spinning and then giving our “winnings” to a little girl, we went to your store. When we entered, we were met with a HUGE display of mortar tubes!! and an air-conditioned store!! Well, I can tell you I made a list of stuff from your website and followed it to the letter. All my displays were what I call “small”, and I bought several of your #400 tubes. We liked every single one of them. Also, in all the cakes we bought, NOT ONE DUD. And when we checked out, the boys each got a “bonus” of the basic mad hornet artillery shells – that was great – along with the free gross of bottle rockets from the online coupon. They were only fair, but for free, who can complain. When I checked out, the cashier informed me I had another 40 bucks in bonus to spend. Along with my free bottle rockets, this was awesome. Never been there before, but was given “a deal” based on what I spent. This is a great way to do business. Well, I must say that for an “economy” year for us, we were VERY HAPPY with what we bought from you folks. I have always been a “Black Cat” guy, but your store brands are nothing to sneeze at. Next year, WE WILL RETURN and will be giving your 500 gram cakes a shot. Oh, by the way, the Mississippi Gambler, the Mobster Big Thumper, and the Mars Attacks artillery shells were AWESOME!! as was the Feeding Frenzy tube. A new VERY satisfied customer from the Greater Omaha area. — Chris

Thursday, June 27, 2013This is our third year driving to Porter, IN from Grand Rapids, MI. The sellers up here can’t hold a candle to Shelton’s. The price and quality are worth our drive. The staff was so helpful to make sure our 4th celebration will be fantastic. WOW! What an organization. We keep telling Michigan to drive to Shelton’s because they are the BEST!!! Happy 4th of July!!! – Bill Godlewski, Grand Rapids, MI
